SCUBA
DIVING
The
diving in the Caribbean is some of the best in the world,
from colorful reefs and world-class wrecks to close
encounters with tropical fish and marine life. The
visibility is nearly always 75 to 100+ feet and the water
temperature is typically between 78 to 84 degr ees
Fahrenheit. Generally, a lycra skin or light wetsuit is all
that’s required for thermal protection. Most of the
diving is between 25 and 80 feet deep, and many of the more
interesting dives are 60 feet or less.
Diving
from the yacht is convenient and carefree. The two transom
areas provide easy access to the water and the crew will
assist you with your gear right at the water’s edge, so
you’ll never have to carry, or wear tanks or equipment
onboard. Tanks are filled directly from the onboard
compressor, so there’s no need to switch tanks between
dives. Our certified guides will gladly accompany you on
your dives at your request, or you’re free to dive on your
own if you wish. Our typical dive itinerary includes visits
of up to two dive sites per day to complement our relaxed
sailing schedule, and we can generally work in a night dive
or two during the week. Tanks, air fills, and soft weights
& belts, in addition to our high quality masks, fins and
snorkels are all included.
